History
Following twelve years as a founding partner in a major wire screen cloth manufacturer, Ralph Scott, with his wife Norma, founded RB Scott Company, Inc. in 1976. The Company was founded as a Manufacturers Representative of equipment lines, including Deister Machine Company, and as a distributor for screens and wear parts, most notably Hoyt Wire Screen Cloth and Columbia Steel Casting Company.
Ralph used his extensive product knowledge and personal relationship with customers in Wisconsin, UP Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota to establish a wide spread and broad based business. Meanwhile, Norma was the backbone of the office, doing everything from customer quotations, invoicing and accounting. As a solid partnership, Ralph and Norma established RB Scott Company, Inc. as a business customer's could depend upon for application expertise and a personal, trusting business relationship.
John Mickelson joined the Company in 1979 as the salesman for Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Following fourteen years in sales, and as VP Sales, John and Nancy (Scott) Mickelson purchased the business in 1993.
Today, John Mickelson serves as President and Sales Manager, and Nancy as Vice President. Katie (Mickelson) Murphy joined the Company in 2014 in a marketing capacity, and Scott Mickelson joined the Company in 2011 in sales. RB Scott is a full service equipment, parts, and service dealer in the central upper midwest. We have four experienced and knowledgeable District Managers who live and work in their territories and who serve as the front line connection between our customers and our headquarters in Eau Claire.
